Ex-Budapest is a little bit higher but in the same ballpark.

BUD-BKK for US$1579, for example.

Thanks for the heads up OP.

I was looking at WAW-DOH-HKG for Q1 2018; however with a Business Promo ticket price of GBP1,275 and fierce Cancellation, Changes and No show charges I'll wait for something more attractive to materialise.

Yeah good price. The prompted me to search for BUD - MEL flights too and found a promo far for 868,000 HUF (around 2490 GBP). This is the cheapest one stop Budapest - Australia business class I've seen.

The price of ticket to PVG is almost the same as in January, during Travel Festival. The difference is that earlier they added bonus qmiles (5x in my case). I hope they repeat such offer sooner or later :-)
