Ac|oz :yvr-sgn $1,899 rt

- books into P for AC (200% on many programs) , Z for OZ (200% on many different programs)

- ~14k miles flown RT

- 787 for AC to ICN

- OZ runs the old 747 to SGN but better than narrow body

How would the OZ segments credit to united? It looks like they have AC flight numbers.

AFAIK, both are JV partners, so should post the same.

It doesn't matter if they have AC flight numbers or not - Star Alliance credits based on metal flown, not marketing partner.

That being said, OZ credits to UA at 100% for business class, so you wouldn't get the business class premium for any of the Asiana-operated flights.

Just booked this (YVR-ICN-HAN) for Aug/Sep. ICN-HAN is scheduled to be operated by the A359 rather than the 744 to SGN.

The OZ segments (with AC codeshare flight numbers) are showing fare class Z. But I always get confused with codeshare fare class translation...is this actually Z for OZ? I recall there being some sort of lookup tool on AC.com but can't find it anymore.

Seeing this in the Amex portal for $1900 via Tokyo/Taipei with the connecting leg on SQ during Xmas/NYE. Not sure why I can't get it to price on Google flights though, lowest price there is $2400. Really tempted to book, is this generally as good as its for J to SEA?

$400-$500 more from SFO, depending on dates. Looking seriously at weekend turns in January.
