Old news. But decent prices if one missed the Festival deals back in January.

Also, note the fine print states that "the lowest fares displayed are valid for bookings for 2-9 people."

Thanks for sharing! The £1200-odd HKG pricing is in line with the cheapest price across BA and CX now which is good.

Morgo Apr 26, 2017 1:21 am

This fare must still be going - parents were last night able to pick up Christmas school holiday flights to AKL for £1800 pp* (I class outbound / R class return)

*1. after 5% Expedia cashback by adding a cheap hostel onto the booking
2. cheaper fares were available if flexible with dates

Qatar Airways runs also additional discount campaign when you pay with Mastercad.

Extra savings for Mastercard Cardholders | Qatar Airways

Enter the promo code "MASTERCARD" when you book your tickets between 26 April and 21 May 2017*.

*Terms and conditions apply.

  • Discount applies to base fare only and will be calculated on the existing market base fare at the time of booking, and any other promotional fares will be excluded from the additional discount.
  • Discount does not apply to taxes, surcharges or any other standard market surcharges.
  • Valid for return fares only.

Please remember, the discount is only "up to" 15% from the base fare, it doesn't guarantee flat 15% discount from the base fare.

docjones Apr 26, 2017 6:15 am

Business Promo fares are not eligible for the MASTERCARD discount.
However it does make the Business Saver fares almost the same price as the Promo fares. Saver fares on the legs I've been looking at, are only 5% more after the discount compared to Promo fares.
EDIT: Disregard previous. MASTERCARD is indeed valid for Promo fares, but there appears to be additional restrictions on dates, etc.

crappy dates

Sisyphus1carus Apr 26, 2017 4:27 pm

Was thinking of 3 seats to BKK or Krabi for Nov or Dec (3 or 4 weeks duration). Thought prices were a bit high but now with 15% off base fare they could be under £1k or certainly very close.

However can't seem to find that price in Nov or Dec. Anyone had any luck or spotted any ways of bringing the price down ?? OJs , specific OTAs etc... ?

Quick look in Nov & Dec and the red star denoting its valid for MasterCard discount wouldn't show up on any of the promo fares :-(

Anyone know if the discount applied already in the fares shown in the list or is it applied just before paying ???

Sorry - on phone with slow sporadic internet. Really not easy to go through qatars website properly.

1) MASTERCARD promo rules require travel to be completed by 10th of Dec.
2) Base fare represents about 65% of the ticket cost.
3) MASTERCARD promo is UP TO 15%.

Found plenty of availability with departures in early/mid November, but 3 seats is pushing it as always with any promos...
