I can get the same or lower cost per mile on TK from ORD to several cities in Europe (SOF, OTP, MAD, BCN, etc)

The forum rules suggest stating the price in the local currency with a conversion to EUR/GBP/USD if necessary. I think this is particularly important with CAD/AUD/NZD fares as "$" is ambiguous.
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/premi...rum-rules.html In the end I decided I'd rather have the ideas/threads and figure out the FX math myself. :D |
 I've always been happy to calculate currency exchange on a rough basis: but since BREXIT I've had some horrible surprises at the non-rough conversion from USD (and others...) to the GBP.

I don't care what currency fares are posted in as long as said currency is clearly indicated in the thread title.
For a fare ex Canada using "$" only, this would mean Canadian dollars - which this fare is not quoted in. Edited to add: I routinely find TK J fares ex YUL and YYZ to various places in Europe that are in the CAD2200 range. |

I agree. Rather than symbols I prefer the standard 3 letter acronym for the currency: USD, CAD, EUR, GBP, THB, CNY, etc.
Don't care where the route starts, just tell me the cost and currency. |

I'm with you on that one, except you'd be surprised at how many people have no idea that USD means U.S. dollars.
