Browsing travel.com.au this morning and found cheap fares on Philippine Airlines.
Business/Economy to HKG is AUD $1,869 for dates in May 2017. The flight from SYD is on a A340 in business (2-2-2 configuration) with a 2h 35m layover. The last part of the flight is in Economy on an A330.
