that's a v/ good fare for the BOS-India market, just a couple hundred more than YYZ fares but much more convenient.

Excellent fare! Thanks streetman!! Wish they were available the other way round too! Way too much of a hassle to position to CMB.

$2400 TK fares are available via ORD to both DEL and BOM for similar dates as in the OP.

The other alliances are much higher. ST is around $3000 and OW is over $4000.

Why is BOM always much cheaper than DEL?

i meant to post this one here in the forum. Thanks.

I bought it last week. If you do Sky Team (the cheapest fare), I HIGHLY advise you do the connection through AMS or LHR that contains Delta and Jet operated planes. Not only is the layover time just 2+ hours on each connection, but you can avoid having to fly AirFrance. The seats on Jet are much better (they're full lay flat and you can get direct aisle access on most seats in that cabin) than that old AF configuration and the food (if you like Indian food) is much better than AF (but whose isn't, right?). And the service in biz class on Jet is much much better than AF's business class service.

I booked it for $2,352 and then a cheap $180 R/T flight on Delta from ATL to Boston. Used my regionals to upgrade both legs to guarantee that I'll be in First or Biz the whole way.

Looks like it's available from WAS for just a touch more as well (though more limited dates) -- https://goo.gl/flights/ciEG

my guess: more supply to Bombay because not only is there tourism but also the huge finance, fashion, and entertainment industries there.

Delhi has tourism and government/politics but just isn't as important IMO a city globally for most foreign business visitors

Also, Baltimore for about the same price as DCA.

This is an awesome fare. I found $2650 from ATL - BOM last year and snagged it thinking i'd never see this again.

Yeah, i booked my trip over thanksgiving! So, it's good for travel in the cool months!

Also, the SkyTeam economy fare is ungodly cheap on this route too. Like $600 R/T.

I see $2739 on QR and $5180 on DL/AF.

On playing with the dates, I see $2387 on DL/AF but Google Flights says "Call Air France to book"

https://www.google.com/flights/?sour...a=SKYTEAM;eo=e

The $2409 fare is available often. QR J is in a different class IMHO.

I'm amped about this. Never been to India. Booked July 25-30 directly on the Delta site.

Wish I could fly even one leg on an A340/A380 (have never flown either), but alas, at 0.094 cpm, it's a short vaca and a MR wrapped in one. Thanks OP.
