AA/BA J sale: LON/MAN-JFK/ORD as low as 1,457

I think this might be in response to the just-launched DL fare sale out of London, but FYI. Available dates - particularly out of MAN - look wide-open all the way through September, and btw it looks like most of them are on AA metal:

I also see MAN-BOS for 1,101 from late July into Jan 2018.

WOW. Great find! That's one of the cheapest J fares I can recall seeing between the UK and US.

WARNING: AA is apparently using its positively geriatric 757s on all of the MAN-JFK segments -- with angled-flat seating! I didn't even realize AA still had such an outdated J product! (That said, they use A330s if you travel MAN-PHL instead, which has lie-flat seating in a reverse-herringbone formation.)

Quite a few 757's (most I think) have been replaced with lie-flats, but it isn't guaranteed.

This fare has been around for a few weeks at least, but it does seem to have suddenly expanded its applicable dates.

So you get a better seat in the JFK-BOS hop than the MAN-JFK!!

MAN - BOS has regularly been on sale for 1000 over the winter. MAN - JFK is usually around 1350

I've found GLA to DTW or ATL for 1,204. 50ish lower using OTAs. Wide open in August for my dates. Can't replicate on BA.com sadly to book a car along with it. Seasonal out of GLA and 757s on the route to PHL but do seem to be refurbed. Hope it helps someone.

If you are looking at LON-JFK over July-August it's worth looking at BA Holidays, you can get something including a hotel for around 1500-1600...

Over Christmas you'll get return J flights and 3 nights hotel for 1299 (booked myself) so definitely worth looking at the BA holiday option

You will not get a cheap one-way business fare on BA/AA to any US destination. They do not exist.

4-5 lie flat conversions already and they are happening quickly. One benefit of AA being cheap with no PTVs is the conversions should be quicker.
