No. I have taken advantage of this several times often only staying for 3 days.

This is a nice deal - thanks! Think any issues with terminating in DTW and skipping the last leg to Toronto?

This question comes up a lot as there are often good DL deals ex-YYZ, and skipping the last DTW-YYZ leg has been suggested a lot, amid the usual hidden-city caveats; don't know if we've ever heard back from anyone who tried it and faced repercussions.

China-DTW-YYZ is eligible for ITI so you probably don't want to check bags if doing this.

You can Google something like "site:flyertalk.com delta skip dtw yyz" for further research.

IIRC- I called the diamond line, explained to them I had change of plans and didn't need to go back to yyz on my yyz-dtw-pek \ nrt - msp - yyz tix changed my atl-yyz RT MSP-ATL paid a change fee but was perfectly OK with it getting home to my atl bed a day early after 10 days in Asia. They didn't raise a flag or give me a word of caution on not completing the yyz-Asia RT

Coming from PEK to YYZ in June I couldn't get quite as good a price unless that is without taxes. ($2200US return for my package and I bought it in November 2016)

I return with the same listing as in the OP.

I do have a question:

I fly PEK to Seattle to Detroit to Toronto: Do I have to get my luggage in Seattle, clear customs and re-checkin for the Seattle to Detroit leg? I have only 2hrs in-between flights, and I am not not sure how crazy it is. Both myself and my daughter are Canadians with Canadian passports, so there isn't a visa issue situation.

Anything I should be aware of at the Seattle airport?

Thanks if you can answer the above question.

2 hours I-D transit at SEA is doable.

At Seattle. You'll exit the plane and enter the immigration area. You'll clear immigration using a kiosk. You'll then go downstairs and there are baggage claim belts for the international arrivals. All international passengers pick up their bags here. Then you walk through customs. After you exit customs, there will be two directions to go: one for arriving passengers, one for connecting passengers. For connecting passengers, they'll retake your bags from you, you clear security and you're done.

You should have no problem.

Thanks for the replies. I also read that Seattle has some priority line for business class on Delta...does this help with immigration? Like is there a faster line? Or is that only security screening?

I booked front row seats in Z so that we could be one of the first off the plane too. I hope that helps.

Thanks again for the replies, I really appreciate the information.

No dedicated lines by class of service for immigration/customs.

In the main terminal, there are such lines for security, but I don't think there are any at the security checkpoint for passengers connecting for international arrivals. Been a long time since transiting Seattle (I'm almost always arriving/departing), but I'll transit on an international arrival next Friday. I'll double check then if nobody posts first.
