Also - Not any sort of scope for creative routings it seems - fare rules specifically state:

So an AA EXP would earn 125% RDM on the fare plus 120% of distance flown for a total of 245%...or am I calculating this wrong. I know the intra-Europe segments are Y. but the long-haul is I class.

125% of Distance, not fare spend.
And also, EQDs are based off of distance, allowing you to earn more EQDs then you're spending.

But, total is 245% on distance for EXP, right?

Grr, I wish this deal had been posted / started just a little bit earlier.

I missed out on booking the LHR-HEL-TLL for £232 at a suitable date (i.e. I don't want to go to Estonia in November) and instead had to settle for £280 in April, which I booked yesterday.

But I want to go London-Asia in May so if I had booked my TLL trip in May it would have fit nicely with this. Oh well it just means more TPs...

But NOT spending the weekend over there shoots the prices by 1k€ or more up. I checked SIN, HKG, ICN - super prices, if you return on a Monday or Tuesday, otherwise nothing special or worse.

I think travel is restricted to Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays only.

If you pay for this using Amex Plat MR points, does it qualify for 50% off redemptions for premium cabin using pay with points?

You need the biz plat card to get this benefit. It is processed as a bonus, so you would need to pay in full using points then get 50% back.
