Check on BA.com if they have CW redemption seats available for the day you want to fly. If they do, you can upgrade. You cannot book & upgrade these fares directly during booking I believe.

So, check, book, call and upgrade. If it is gone between booking and calling, cancel the booking.

Re these fares, is there a way of checking date restrictions as looking to go to West Coast in July or August.

GF: 637€ booking with BA

I know that WT+ fares booking into booking class W,E and T and also the fare code basis must start with W,E or T is upgradeable.

Now few questions
- Is GF offer the same as I find on EF
- My TA just tells me that the fare is not upgradeable with a GUF. Is this correct?
- Is the EF fare cost of Round-Trip 665.00(EUR) including all taxes etc?

I know that WT+ fares booking into booking class W,E and T and also the fare code basis must start with W,E or T is upgradeable.

Now few questions
- Is GF offer the same as I find on EF
- My TA just tells me that the fare is not upgradeable with a GUF. Is this correct?
- Is the EF fare cost of Round-Trip 665.00(EUR) including all taxes etc?

No, EF gives you basefare only. As your GF includes all taxes and is less than EF basefare, they are not one and the same.

Is this a BA only fare?
I'm interested in trying Iberia's new Premium Economy*, I tried searching MAD /f bc=T with Matrix but prices gets much higher.

It does say

2 TRANSFERS PERMITTED IN EACH DIRECTION FREE
2 FREE ON AA/AB/AY/BA/HG/IB ONLY IN EUROPE IN EACH
DIRECTION

So what should the syntax be for searching XXX-LHR-MAD-YYY
this doesn't work: MAD, LHR /f bc=T

I noticed in the Triple Avios promotion T&Cs that it is valid for if you "fly up to (and including) 31 March 2017".


Does anyone know if one will receive triple Avios on a flight from JFK>AMS departing on 31 March, but arriving on 1 April (with a layover on LHR also on 1 April)?

The spirit and the logic say yes. But how BA's technology interprets things is another matter....

Worth adding that ex-JER fares on this offer are even lower - just got one for £496 for mid-Feb but saw them for as low as £460. There are good connections to/from the LGW-JFK (though it's old WT+) so you don't need to switch airports if that's a hassle.

Not only that but for some reason, the JER-LGW-JER books into CE like it used to in the olden days! This accrued 25 TPs per leg before, not sure how many I'll get this time. So for those on a TP run, this is quite a nice bonus.

And wouldnt an avios upgrade to J ex JER mean UK APD is also payable?

Because like fares, YQ is also route dependent. Looking at some random dates:

OSL-SFO/LAX-OSL in WTP YQ £193, CW YQ £210 = + £17 rtn
JER-JFK-JER in WTP YQ £156, CW YQ £289 = + £133 rtn

There are quote a few origins now available on this deal, sample dates Feb 6th to 12th to IAD:

ex DUS €885
ex AMS €912

Not bad pricing for WT+ under 21 days out, yet to check for upgrade possibilities.

I had a transatlantic on Dec 11th overnight with BA which was the last day of the 2016 triple avios promotion, connecting to a LHR>DUS flight on the 12th.
i received the triple avios for the PHL>LHR which departed on the 11th, but just the regular avios for the final LHR>DUS leg which departed on the 12th, so I would be confident you'll received the transatlantic bonus, but not the LHR>AMS one assuming all other criteria for the promotion has been satisfied.
