I just managed to price it out on SIA's own website. Sample dates: 1 jan- 12 jan.
Open Jaw SYD/MEL works too.
Booking class D would generate about 40.000 EQM (and RDM) on SAS EuroBonus, which means almost Gold right there (45.000 is the requirement). Probably similar on other *A airlines (although not on UA).

Great deal. Fare is still very much alive, using the original post's google flights link. The +600 Euro additional happens only when you click on routing through FCO, but if you scroll down to ATH-IST instead, you'll still get 1985 Euros. Was able to get 1985 fully priced out on SQ's site.

With the stop-over in SIN, it's nice deal: only tarnished (for me!) by the BREXIT devaluation of the GBP...

A word of caution: Maybe time schedules do not yet reflect the decision of the Turkish Emperor for Turkey to stay on summer time all year around (no adjustment for end of daylight savings time on 30 Oct).

And also I would caution that there is a good chance SQ will either reduce frequencies next year or cede the route to Scoot. Demand for travel to Turkey has fallen rapidly because of the political instability and their *A partner TK operate the route anyway. I think this would be a prime Scoot long-haul destination.
