KL: LHR/MAD - NYC via AMS in J - GBP1080

Crazy deal – Business Class from London to New York for a shade over £1k KLM and/or Delta. Freely available on the dates below, bookable direct on KLM.com, and involves one stop in AMS. Seems like some sort of price match with the ex-NL deals with OW that have now died. Cutting into each other’s home turf?

Sample dates and itinerary:

Depart: Thursday 13 April 2017
0630 London – Heathrow Airport (LHR)
0900 Amsterdam – Schiphol (AMS)
KL1000 Operated by KLM – Boeing 737-800

1h40m Transfer time at AMS

1040 Amsterdam – Schiphol (AMS)
1248 New York – John F Kennedy International (JFK)
KL6149 Operated by Delta – Airbus A330-300

Return: Tuesday 18 April 2017
Tue 1625 New York – John F Kennedy International (JFK)
Wed 0600 Amsterdam – Schiphol (AMS)
KL6070 Operated by Delta – Boeing 767-300

1h20m Transfer time at AMS

0720 Amsterdam – Schiphol (AMS)
0740 London – Heathrow Airport (LHR)
KL1001 Operated by KLM – Boeing 737-900

Total Price
1 Adult – Business Class £1087.31
You can also get this on Delta stock. Some availability to route via CDG, and you can get a a direct flight from NYC to LHR on the inbound leg for an extra £300 (prices at around £1373 currently)

SkyTeam: LHR-ORD £890

SkyTeam: LHR-ORD £890

Widely available, routings allowed many, even AMS+DTW, so miles optimising possible.

Updated title with relevant airlines instead.

Well, I've asked a mod to at least.

that Skyteam was matching from UK, or LHR at least, was mentioned in one of the (now numerous) parallel threads last Friday.

And Madrid! (Unfortunately not from the other IAG hub, DUB!) There was a sale on MAD-ORD only ending about 2 weeks ago. I almost booked one on Alitalia.

Did wonder how long it would last after BA closed the ex-NL sale...

Found fares on an OTA - they took my money - and I just got e-tickets.

silver lining is, it was 250 gbp pp cheaper than the KL website and I booked 3.

whew - - what a stress -

Now, the next thing - -

as you can see I booked an overnight on the way out and on the way back, as I live in AMS. We'll have ski equipment, and actually, I want to check my ski's in in AMS on the outbound, and short check them to AMS on the inbound. Hoping that with an overnight, KL will allow this.

Anyone with experience with this?

and price 989 GBP pp

That screen grab shows you in row 29 for the TATL - are you sure you've been sold a business class ticket???
