Noticing one way fares from Pakistan (Lahore and Karachi) to JFK via AUH (J to AUH and A380 F available to JFK) around $1900 OW and about $3500 RT. Completely understand not a relevant deal for most people given the starting location....but if you have the appetite to transit or are local, great deal. Seems to be only for AA marketed flights, so not sure how miles accrue? will leave that for the experts to chime in on.

Wow this fare has some super potential. I will let the more seasoned members confirm, but it seems this books as a J/F fare which would net you 3xEQM on AA. The price does seem to have jumped to around $2300, but still its a good deal.

That's fantastic - shame they aren't part of a real alliance.

I would love to fly one of their first class suites but just isn't worth it as a MR unless one frequently flies them which I surely do not.

Wait..if what you say is correct then I retract my statement. I'll gladly take 3x EQM for AA. What sort of RDM would this award?

I did a transit without visa in LHE from QR to EY, found myself escorted by a porter to the public area with checkin desks (where taxis drop off passengers) with no stamp/visa in the passport. No problem to pass the passport control back after check in, just explaining the situation with the incoming boarding pass was enough.

Same in KHI even when on a turn around....sometimes the porter also goes to checkin for you and brings the documents to the lounge...

Does anyone know if EY flies an A380 to anywhere in North America beyond JFK?

O well that should be fine

Also noticed the A380 seems to be only available on Wednesdays, is this true?

How many AA miles will a one-way earn under the new AA structure?

Given that a roundtrip in economy etihad for same routing is ~$600, and a roundtrip in Business even is $1800, I want to justify spending all the extra $$$ for just a one-way if the mileage earning is better . Not sure how highly I value EY suites specially over their a380 business (having done it earlier once already).

Mileage earning will depend on your status with AA and the base fare of the ticket. It has nothing to do with class of service. The economy ticket for $600 will earn next to nothing since most of the cost are in fees and taxes.

EY Suites is by far the best hard product out there and it's worth the money in this case compared to J.
