Yes, that seems to be true of most new AA 'el cheapo' fares exEU unfortunately. The MAD/CDG-SXM(et al)-CDG route is still exempt, but most other fares have this 'issue'.

Makes sense from AA's perspective.

Thanks for the fare, great find. Secured 2 tickets and managed to get a huge bundle of miles back into my account, needless to say, this will also qualify me for BA Gold which can't hurt.

Hi henky and as always thanks for your magical finds! Couldn't get OGG to work - is it not possible on this one? Go on, prove me wrong

OpenSkies is fine. In case of IRROPS you will be rerouted on a BA flight via LHR and the flight to ORY has flatbeds and good service. You sleep anyway.

FWIW: a stopover in NY on this fare will add €600 to the price. No more free lunches on AA unfortunately.

I noticed that too. Seems to be limited to HNL I'm afraid.

Great fare, but I am worried about booking in July. Currently this fare earns 77,000 rdm, but will go to 15,000 sometime this summer.

I agree, the 321 Lax-hnl is a domestic F seat. The DFW- HNL is 763 angle flat so much much better. DFW though requires a night in dallas, as departures to hnl are early in the day, and arrival from CDG is in the afternoon

I actually prefer fresh posts instead of having to search for something hidden within an post.

Awesome find Henkybaby. This helped tie up a return we needed perfectly. Too bad the rules on this one don't allow cheap or free stopovers

Absolutely. Leviathan mega posts are really a pain.

...
No one knows when the RDM will go down, except after July 1. Could be July. Could be December.

Given that AA have never given us a firm date, I'm thinking they will go by booking date.

BTW, ORY-MAD-MIA-ORY-MAD starting from $1600 . So far it´s the only transatlantic combination I saw which is not operated by AA.

ORY-JFK on EC works too.

You can also book DUB-LHR-USA-CDG and do TATL on BA. It combines two fares (as I understand it) but still no free stopvers.

AA has a better hard product than BA anyway, and you guarantee the extra EQMs and have a shot at extra RDMs

Yeah - weird

That said, BAers should really like deals like this - even on AA metal.

We do! We even have 2 threads permanently dedicated to them. Mostly because we would route this a certain way that makes no sense to an AAddict.
