The fare is still filed to other cities in North America.

Thanks. That makes sense, though it's still a bit odd considering the usual Easter and summer surges of traffic to Hawaii ex continental USA.

As I say, when transcontinental fares from Area 2 to Area 1 are written, internal domestic demand is not really a factor.

But the Hawaiian destinations have been deleted from this tariff so maybe someone agrees with you

Especially as the last time I bought an F fare on US-HNL, it cost a lot more than I usually pay for DUB-HNL in J/F

The transpacific red eye is fairly brutal, no lie flats of course and indeed little in the way of service (although this has improved, I was on AA 298 earlier this month and there was dinner). Nonetheless I would not recommend it if you can avoid it.
Thanks for the response Calchas, I had a sneaky feel the layovers were on a tight schedule. Anyway as reported the HNL cheap fares are now pulled. I have continued searching today and there are still good Business fares to other destinations from Dub plus I have found some really good prices on restricted economy fares for a MR i.e. DUB-SFO-MAN for £260 in January which will net approx. 12500 EQM's. I have some spare time in Jan so may go for that.

Ba/aa dub-hnl 1250 eur

UA matched the fare and is still available... Not many RDM, but a decent deal if interested in PQM.

I am getting $ 2k+ on HNL & MIA run, for UA P-class, mid-January dates.
Also can't find any base fares listed lower.
Fare gone?

The fare is only valid in March-April and July-August, unfortunately.

That sounds more or less the expected value for these promo I fares as always have been.
[so it does seem to confirm the rumours that most probably the previously filed fares were only intended for destinations on the continent and they magically added the islands to them ]

Still gutted that I did not snap up one of them fast enough before it was pulled....as I had a really good routing to maximize the miles.

These Dublin to Hawaii fares pop up several times every year. Just wait around a little bit

Do you know if there are similar fares to HNL from other European cities?
