[PREM FARE GONE] AA: EU-South America $1,500 in J
This seems to be a new low.
Saw wide open availability on AA starting at $1,500 for EU to various destinations in South America as far out as June (checked ZRH, FRA, CDG, MXP but this seems to be good across the board). Brazil (GRU/GIG) is cheapest. Routing through all AA hubs possible. Fare rules allow stopovers.
Booked FRA-DFW-GRU-DFW-CDG over Easter for CHF 1,592. Fare code INN8S2E3.
This will earn 40k EQM and (with all bonuses) 64k RDM in AAdvantage. Not bad at all. Especially considering Economy was almost $900.
See fare rules in post 13: EUR 500 change fee, 28 days advance purchase, Sat. night stay requirement.

Damn - thank you. Put FRA-DFW-GRU on hold for $564 in Y, but your itin. for J for $1590 is absolutely tempting. If I didn't need to get approval from my real "boss," I would've booked the latter by now.
Edit: Couldn't resist and put CDG-DFW-GRU-DFW-FRA on hold for $1488 booked in I across the board.

I get 20,313 BIS miles, so...
50% cabin bonus + 100% EXP bonus + 3,500 I fare EXP bonus x 4 = 64,783 RDM.
Am I missing something somewhere?

Anyone had any luck for early Jan/Feb for 20k+ EQM? I've been able to manage 1750-2200 but only for ~18.5k BIS miles

BTW, don't rely on Matrix with these. Matrix shows much higher prices in the initial overview but goes down once you click through to a specific day. Very disappointing.
Hell, I`ll go and book another one of these for a work trip to LAX by stopping over in DFW/MIA/JFK and just buying a separate DFW/MIA/JFK-LAX return ticket for under $200 - more miles, EXP requalification bagged by April, seeing my fav. band in Rio on the way - all that for half the cost of a regular, direct ticket to LAX!
And these aren't mistake fares and I`m pretty sure they'll stick around for awhile. AA has to compete with all those carrieres with direct flights, and as those have slashed their prices as well, the customer profits, for the moment anyway.
I just came back from a GRU trip on AA, and I`ve never seen those 77W business cabins so empty - less than half of the seats were filled. Economy was equally empty - we got a whole row for ourselves all the way.
Looks like the Brazilian economy really took a nosedive, and I`m sure the 77W will vanish from these routes and capacity gets adjusted when this persists for much longer...
These fares have a 28-day advance purchase requirement, and you need to build in a Saturday night stay - keep that in mind.
