I wonder if anyone could explain why and how they decide on all those particular dates that travel is allowed ?
I think I see Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks there but not sure about the others. (?) Can a round trip be started in one of those time periods and finished in another ? Or does each trip need to be confined to one single time period ? Just curious and thanks ! :D |
Summer holidays and Easter holidays, when business travel is usually weaker?

Bucharest to Phoenix. Interesting.
|
First Class prices are good as well
I have been following this fare in F for many months now. It is stable at $3800ish on BA as far as the calendar will let me look. This is my back up plan for getting back from Europe to Phoenix if ever needed. (So far a half dozen well-timed DUB and FCO flights in F have filled up my calendar for as far next year as the airlines will let me book, though . . . despite a few failed PRG-MEX flights. :( )

Find it rather amusing that OTP-PHX has become cheaper and cheaper over the years. BA members feel free to build in more stops for TPs. Also interesting are Skyteam routings at ~$60 more allowing transfers at SEA/SFO/LAX.

Looks like WAW-PHX is in the same $1,450 range.
|
Great find! Does anyone have a suggestion to maximize this into a TP run?

That departure time for the MAD flight is just awful. Whomever came up with that hour should take that flight a couple of times a week. And IB will probably complain that the "route is not profitable", same as TP did when they pulled out of the LIS-OTP route, which also had a similar crappy departure / arrival time...
This fare is very interesting, I actually need to go to LAX, how much of a stopover can I have in PHX? |
Rules for minimum says 6 days or Saturday night, but that concerns the TATL flights. It's actually possible to do a B2B in PHX on Saturday, spend <24h in LAX before continuing the inbound.

Thanks Unionruler! Do you know if a Skyteam routing is possible via NYC? or what a max XP routing would be? Probably via SEA or LAX? Stopovers allowed?
There is a fare basis ZLXLSRO (AF), base fare $618 in each direction which allows routings via Canada e.g. OTP-CDG-YVR-SEA-PHX, but since Flying Blue is revenue based, I don't think the extra XPs are worth giving up >10k RDMs for. Routing via NYC is very easy to construct. |
