LAX to Fiji - 2 Day Sale - $3169 Business RT

Got a promotional email from Fiji Airlines. 50% off fares for two days. Fares appear to be good for a year. Didn't check every routing.

Nice. Similar prices from LAX to SYD and AKL.

huh, I have seen it much cheaper before ... doesn't look like this is anywhere near 50% off.

Considering you can get LAX/NAN/AKL for $3200 without much effort year round (barring new year) and LAX/NAN for ~$2800 at various points regularly. I did it in Feb for $3250 in J.

The Y sale prices are quite good though.

Can you take a 10 day layover in NAN?

How did that price out? I can't get it that low ever!

edit: nevermind, I see the fare now but how long of a layover can you take?

Hmmm, Going to Fiji for 10 nights soon. Maybe I'll add some time in AKL.

No idea. Never bothered to read the fare rules and have zero interest in staying in Fiji more than a few hours. Sorry. (Just not a fan of the place)

No.

They call them 'Angle Flat', but that's marketing speak for 'Not Flat'. Still quite comfy for the 10+ hour LAX-NAN leg of the trip.

As mentioned, angle flat. I found them very comfy; better than BA F (747) and J (747, 777), UA J (747, 2/4/2 layout), QF F (380) *IMO*. Service was quite nice, although a little prone to disappearing. Meals were average. IFE was quick, but limited. NAN is awful right now with the limited facilities, lounges, and building going on.

Yea, the seats aren't that bad.

I found the food to be awful though. Since I flew last (2 years) they updated the catering so hopefully it will be better this time around.

AA still hasn't dropped the codeshare option yet. Doubt they will though.
