Checked several dates when I have the ability to go, and nothing cheaper then about $2700 USD for 2 people in J from CMB-JFK. Virtually nothing available even at that price for the direct flight AUH-JFK on the 777 or in the new year on the A380 the price went up even more to about $3500 for 2.

What dates have people found the lower prices on? Couldn't find the summer or the new year.

It's an Etihad promo code. You can only use their website -- put the code in the marked box. Obviously, you have to travel on the specific days correlated to each code. You can also find the the fare rules on the website.

The EY 2for1 fare (z class) the I first posted in the QR thread was set to expire on May 17. So this may well be gone. There is still a W class fare (only 1 has to travel) which can be had for 30% off, about $1500 after discount.
