CMB-AKL/SYD/MEL/BNE OW $680-1000 in J
 

On Mondays April-June, I've found fares on UL/QF/LAN that seem very cheap.

Typical routing is CMB-SIN-MEL/BNE/SYD/AKL.

Just booked in May CMB-AKL for $730USD. I think this is a good fare, as AKL-SYD return is no less than $700 USD.

BNE is closer to $800, and SYD is $680. Searching other days of the week will yield something closer to $1000.

Expedia.co.uk and other OTA can ticket these fares.

Looking at my booking via qantas.com.au, the flights booked into I class.

For a BA blue, my CMB-SIN-SYD-AKL would yield 8697 miles and 220 tier points.

However, how are you getting the 260 TPs? CMB-SIN-SYD-AKL should yield 40+140+40, so 220 TPs no?

Oops. I was counting the results of the BKK-CMB positioning flight as well. I have some numbers to re-adjust.

Is this a one way or round trip fare?

OK. I thought for a while OW means One World Alliance :confused:

withthe given Airlines I thought the same.

With LH for long-haul (and a certain airline :)), OW joins the group of misleading FT* abbreviations.

Have been trying to play around with this fare to avoid MH as my other half won't fly with them anymore :( Perhaps someone with a better understanding of fare rules could advise.

The fare rules say you can fly with CX in addition to the carriers listed above, any way to route this via HKG in both directions or SIN both ways?

CX is only allowed on the one-way to AKL. The roundtrip only allows connecting in SIN or KUL.

I do not know whether this can be classified as a good find, as CMB is home to many of them; but I find it quite a value personally.

September to November, many dates have this pricing.

Itinerary is like this: CMB-(Sri Lankan Airlines A320 business)-SIN-(Qantas A330 New Business suite)-SYD/MEL-(Qantas 738 business)-AKL and same on the return legs.

Stays from 3-10 days are valid in my searches, YMMV.

It certainly classifies as a good find! IIRC a similar fare was discussed not long ago. Good find.

Thanks, I am taking advantage of this from India and fares from Indian cities were twice as much in premium cabins, so this was a great deal for me; just wasn't sure if this would help others.

Can you share dates that you are finding 1300? The lowest I can get it to is 1600 ISH with MH on way down, QF on way back. Great find!

Google flight will be your best friend !
