Don't say this. Someone might actually do it.
As a general rule, DL Z fares do NOT allow stopovers. They're deep discount BE RTs. However, often you can easily get a 23 hour or so connection at AMS or CDG. Anything under 24 hours on international doesn't count as a stopover, so you could do this at every connecting point if you want.

If you're within the risk free cancellation window, and a <24 hr. "stopover" works for you, then they might do it. However, since the fare is no longer available, even if the Z inventory is there for the new flight(s) that you want, it's probably going to reprice at the now higher Z fare.
And, if you want >24 hrs., that would be a stopover and, as indicated earlier, is not allowed under the fares rules for this Z fare.

Thanks, it is really helpful. I do not want to make any change now because I got this ticket for 1600. The only thing I want to change is SFO-AMS(Stopover for 4 days)-BCN BCN-CDG-SFO. That means only AMS to BCN need to postpone to 4 days later. I have 6 hours connection time in AMS and have enough time to make this change. If I only need to pay change fee for this part, it worth it. Do you have any idea about change fee? I ticketed it from delta.com and all flight number is delta code share. Many thanks!
