- Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!
- Double-check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTAs confuse booking classes on some airlines.
- Post as much detail as possible about the First/Business fare, including: fare class, fare basis, one-way/round-trip, sales channel, sample dates and total price (including taxes).
- When posting fare rules, please enclose them in a [COÐE][/COÐE] block. Note the use of the eth (Ð) instead of a capital D here to prevent the forum software from trying to insert an actual block. Be sure you use the capital D.
- Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
- The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain point of origin, and only very rarely work in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
- Please include important information such as operating airline, fare classes, city pairs, etc. in the body of your post rather than the post title field as it is not visible to those reading FT on mobile devices. This is not the "trick it" thread. Please do not speak in code.
- Please do not post large images. Not everyone has infinite resolution, and it makes the rest of the thread very difficult to read. If it's not important enough to type in, it's not important enough to be here.
- Last but not least: don't call the airline!
Note: There is a known miscoding on ITA and elsewhere, where fares on EI (Aer Lingus) are showing as being in first class. This is not correct, as Aer Lingus does not offer first class. If you see this fare, please ignore it and do not post it here as it is completely unbookable in every sense of the term. The mods are summarily deleting these posts in order to unclutter the thread.
Note: There is a known miscoding on ITA and elsewhere, where Z fares on EY (Etihad) are showing as being in first class. This is not correct, as Z fares are discount business on EY. MLE-HKG-US (various) in C, $1400 +/- available only on CX's website.
CMB-MIA, other US cities, for about $4400 in F, round-trip/return

Too bad you can't get the AARP discount with the AAPAS fare ;-) But it also has a pretty big UL YQ for having only one short segment on that airline, I haven't tried hard, but seems like the first/last segments have to be on UL so not sure how to avoid that.
As a traditional spender of Avios, fares like this get interesting because I'd be looking at about $1500 in fees for this as an Avios award, in addition to a boatload of miles. The cash delta is pretty attractive for the paid fare.

the CMB-MIA round-trip fare is just as titom has described. The wiki entry was incorrect based on a misunderstanding of his original post. I have corrected the wiki.
While titom did provide an outbound and a return date, he also mentioned "2 out of 3 legs in F" (instead of 4 of 6) which was I think the source of confusion.
He clarified it in a later post that it is a round-trip/return fare.
I think it will be helpful when posting fares the wiki to include a link to be able to follow the discussion of that fare.

On 4/6-4/13, the LHR-AUH segment would be in the A380 in each direction.

Ok, now that we agreed it was a pretty decent RT fare, was anybody able to replicate the itinerary through AUH with EY segment?
I can only find it with connection on DOH and QR...

April/May 2015 (various dates) out of YOW/YUL/YYZ to SYD "the long way" for $4,500+/- in J on AF/KLM/Skyteam.
Outbound routes you through either CDG/AMS with onward travel on Etihad through AUH.
Return allows you to add some QF/CX segments to the mix (through SIN or HKG onwards to CDG).
Good deal considering the fare routinely goes for 9k on AC. 18k flying blue miles each way.

Why don't you guys go outside and play in the sun, or if you must sit in front of your computer, enjoy the wonderful low West Coast-EU C fares (SEA-AMS, PDX-MXP/MAD, etc etc, for sub-$2k until EOS, or sub-$1.5k, until 3/31/15), and some of the other gems we currently have active.

Try other combinations of airports that are close to you. A few weeks back, LAX-MAD was super cheap, plus a lot of secondary airports (RNO, EUG, GEG, etc). These fares seem to come and go. Not all are valid until EOS.

Unless traveling in First, which I've not experienced on anyone's A380, I can't imagine why anyone would seek out that bird for long-haul travel. Bragging rights, perhaps. Otherwise, from the limited experience of a few segments in BA biz, it's yet another airplane.
