  • Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!
  • Double-check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTAs confuse booking classes on some airlines.
  • Post as much detail as possible about the First/Business fare, including: fare class, fare basis, one-way/round-trip, sales channel, sample dates and total price (including taxes).
  • When posting fare rules, please enclose them in a [COĐE][/COĐE] block. Note the use of the eth (Đ) instead of a capital D here to prevent the forum software from trying to insert an actual block. Be sure you use the capital D.
  • Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
  • The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain point of origin, and only very rarely work in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
  • Please include important information such as operating airline, fare classes, city pairs, etc. in the body of your post rather than the post title field as it is not visible to those reading FT on mobile devices. This is not the "trick it" thread. Please do not speak in code.
  • Please do not post large images. Not everyone has infinite resolution, and it makes the rest of the thread very difficult to read. If it's not important enough to type in, it's not important enough to be here.
  • Last but not least: don't call the airline!

Note: There is a known miscoding on ITA and elsewhere, where fares on EI (Aer Lingus) are showing as being in first class. This is not correct, as Aer Lingus does not offer first class. If you see this fare, please ignore it and do not post it here as it is completely unbookable in every sense of the term. The mods are summarily deleting these posts in order to unclutter the thread.

Note: There is a known miscoding on ITA and elsewhere, where Z fares on EY (Etihad) are showing as being in first class. This is not correct, as Z fares are discount business on EY. These fares will not receive chaffeur service. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/etihad-airways-etihad-guest/1622229-removal-chauffeur-service-some-business-class-passengers.html

List of known, active deals:

JNB-DXB-SFO in EK F, $4k-ish one-way
MLE-HKG-US (various) in C, $1400 +/- available only on CX's website.
CMB-MIA, other US cities, for about $4400 in F, round-trip/return

BA AARP $400 discount for J/F bookings is now valid again for booking until 31 Oct 2014 but departure to EOS seems to get the discount. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/british-airways-executive-club/1435816-ba-fare-discounts-aarp-4.html

An alternative is CX BKK-CMB direct $460 RT A.I.

I plan to stay a day at a 5 stars hotel near the airport on the way back.
Cheaper than direct economy or close to that.
However, the service is only 3x weekly and with a maximum of 1 month at this price. You have to book directly on CX.com under the special offers called Smart Saver.

Normal 12-month maximum tickets available as well, a bit more.

Hope this is useful to you.

Wow that a really good alternative! I always forget this stupid/ clever (?) airline does not publish their fares 100% publicly.
But the schedule is not that great, even a day near BOM is a better alternative for me than extra days in Sri Lanka (I am just transiting)

I shall add that 9W fare is free date change also. Refund is THB 2,000, no show 1,500. At the same time CX fare is non refundable and changes are THB 2,500 while no show is THB 5,000.

Singapore (SIN) to Frankfurt (FRA) - Fri, Aug 29
Air India Limited Singapore (SIN) to Delhi (DEL) - Fri, Aug 29
Air India Limited 381 Dep: 8:25AM Arr: 11:35AM 5h 40m Boeing 787 Business (J)
Layover in DEL 2h 10m

Air India Limited Delhi (DEL) to Frankfurt (FRA) - Fri, Aug 29
Air India Limited 121 Dep: 1:45PM Arr: 6:40PM 8h 25m Boeing 787 Business (J)

Frankfurt (FRA) to Singapore (SIN) - Wed, Sep 10
Air India Limited Frankfurt (FRA) to Delhi (DEL) - Wed, Sep 10
Air India Limited 120 Dep: 9:15PM Arr: 8:20AM 7h 35m Boeing 787 Business (J)
Layover in DEL Thu, Sep 11 15h 10m

Air India Limited Delhi (DEL) to Singapore (SIN) - Thu, Sep 11
Air India Limited 380 Dep: 11:30PM Arr: 7:20AM 5h 20m Boeing 787 Business (J)
Fri, Sep 12
Cost per passenger (including taxes & fees) 1,885.70 x 1 (1 adult) - That's in SGD.

That to me is hardly ever seen! (And I get to credit to TK)

I saw that too, works to a number of European cities including LHR as well. Made me go look up what J in AI is like which apparently isn't too shabby, mile earn rate is pretty comparable to something like SIN-bunch of US cities-SIN on UA Y.

This one has been around for a while, but, good to post again.

Around $2500 +/- from LAX
Around $2900 +/- from PBI/FLL/MIA
Around $2450 +/- from DFW

Lots of other cities in the same $2500-$3000 price range.

Several days first class can be had for about $500 more each way, bringing the total to $3500 - $4000 +/- in First.

Weekends are a little more. Monday - Thursday seems to provide the best fares.

Not as good as earlier this year's First Class to ICN, but still not bad as a jumping off point to elsewhere in Asia.

(Note: This is the ooooold 777-200 with actual DC cigar type power. IFE are on demand, but, small.)

And nice elaboration.

Indeed, a good deal. Wish I'd known about it sooner, but thanks to both of you for the info.

YYZ-TLV

Is the YYZ-TLV fare in J on DL for ~2000 gone? Are there any J fares to TLV from any city pairs for a reasonable price?
