And over a year after a hotel burned to the ground in New York while firefighters from Canada dispatched via mutual aid agreements were held at the border by CBP, they are still being idiots. I heard Ontario paid for all the volunteers on the Canadian side to get enhanced driver's licenses in the hopes that delays at the border would be eliminated. No such luck. How many terrorists are going to go to the trouble of stealing a firetruck, for God's sake?

Time to find out where CBP officers live and adopt a "let it burn, protect the exposures" policy on those homes. It may be the only way these morons get a wake-up call.

I agree. One of the lasts things I did before retirement was to help arrange an internal conference in my company for 250 persons for one week. The only restriction we had from HQ was to avoid traveling through USA at all cost. Nobody of the 250 delegates wanted the hassle of dealing with TSA and CBP.
