ESTA Transit query

Have completed our online ESTA form for transiting in LAX en route from LHR-AKL.
As we are going back the same way 2 weeks later do we have to fill in a brand new ESTA form or somehow go back into the old one after we've completed the outward bound flight?

Once you've done your ESTA it's valid for 2 years. However prior to each entry by air or sea you are supposed to update it with your flight / ship details

So does that mean we can put multiple entries on the form?

The entry info is not mandatory-- just leave it off.

IIRC there is only space for one set of flight/address details.
