CDG Transfers - go through security again?
I have a flight from Italy to the US, transferring at CDG. Since both Italy and France are Schengen Zone countries, would I need to go through security again at CDG?
I have a 45 minute transfer from Terminal 2G (the part of T2 that is only connected by shuttle) to 2E. |
Hi,
According to the Air France website, the shuttle is landside, and thus you will have to clear security in 2E. Cheers, GenevaFlyer |

Cheers, GenevaFlyer Bottom line: I have managed 45 minute connections when arriving at the satellite terminal, but always was one of the last people on board, and that was only possible with me knowing CDG well enough that I can run to where I need ot go without stopping and looking at the signs and with me using the frequent flier security lanes. If you absolutely HAVE to be on your connecting flight, don't book connections through CDG with less than 60 minutes if you pass through this idiocy that is the new commuter terminal. Similar for when you are going back to a flight leaving from 2G. You now have to add the bus ride to your connection time, while pre-2G the bus ride was after the nominal boarding time. The minimum connection times seem not to have changed. Go figure... |
