Exit slides on L-1011 and DC-10
 
On the now-defunct L-1011 and DC-10 aircraft, the main passenger doors would slide up into the aircraft, instead of hinges. Doe anyone know where the exit slide was located? Were they still "bustles" attached to the inside door with girt bars?

Gotta love Google...

On this link, there is a drawing of an L-1011 door that shows the slide packed into the door - per that drawing, it will roll up into the overhead with the door if it's not deployed.

Girt bars, armed door goes up, slide goes down.
