happy TSA experience (!)
On our recent flight from MDW to PVD (on SWA), my husband and I put all
the parkas into a bag to go through the security line (btw I am so happy that there are now family lines so that we can take longer and when I'm not with the entourage, I can go more quickly!) We were flying with the three kids and a lot of stuff. Unfortunately, we forgot the bag of jackets in the security area, and did not realize it with the three kids and all the stuff...until we were on the plane! The agents were really nice and let us look briefly in the gate area, but of course the jackets weren't there. So they gave us the TSA phone number, and I left a message, assuming the jackets were gone forever. BUT, they called back, talked to me, found the bag (asked me to identify the contents), and facilitated a FedEx of the bag to us within the week for $12!! I was so surprised/impressed, and figured that they deserve a shout-out considering all the kvetching I and others do about the junky TSA so often. :) LG |

Good story though and nice to know that there is solid customer service work being done on a daily basis. |
Yes, that was my line of thought as well.... ;) Hey, I've been on that
side of the fence more than once. --LG

Might still be the wrong forum? This one seems to be only for TSA hatred and the occasional burning of a TSA in effigy.

Well, you get what you give...
Nice story about the jackets. |
I had a similar experience amazingly with TSA at Dulles. The folks on the floor were as uninterested as ever, but they did give me the paper with the appropriate numbers to follow up (I had lost something on the outbound, and lost & found was closed on my return when I stopped at the TSA area downstairs).
You leave a message on the machine and they'll return the call IF they locate your missing item. I figured I wouldn't get a response, but I did and someone did me a great favor by picking the item up when they left from IAD, at a time the office was open about a week later. This was the Verizon broadband card that fits in the side of the laptop, so it could disappear pretty easily but they did hold onto it. |
