Not exactly a glowing recommendation for having FAMs on flights

That's an indictment, if anything, of execution instead of principle, because if there were more then that rationale would be nonexistent.

Of course I'd argue most flights don't need FAMs. Puddle-jumper flights are probably not high on the list for AQ.
