I would argue that you can't do a window seat because it's nearly impossible for you to get up and over people and the aisle seat makes things much better when you need to get up. I don't see how a window seat is a disabled seat. I hope you have better luck on your return. What about asking someone to swap you their aisle in E + once you're on the plane for the exit row aisle?

I think she put me in that window seat because it was the only seat available and she had to move me given what I'd told her. However, it definitely is not going to work so i went back online and my original exit row aisle seat in E+ was still available and I've reassigned it to myself. When I board it shouldn't be hard to trade a regular E+ aisle seat for an exit row aisle seat - I know I'd go for it!
