Unfortunate that they seem to imply that the backscatter xray in PHX was a good thing........

Even at the highest-rated airport, San Francisco International, screeners still missed 20% of incendiary materials.
You mean that the highest-rated airport is one of the very few with private screeners. And I thought we couldn't professionalize until we federalized.

If you’re confused about what you can and can’t do at the airport these days, you’re not alone.
Looks like the man in the picture on the first page must have been confused. Why is he wearing a jacket while being subjected to the HHMD? The jacket should have gone through x-ray.

Shhhhh. Photo illustration to fool the tewwowists. Like the article says, "Because the TSA has to announce its defenses so travelers know what they can and can’t bring on board, Schneier says that potential terrorists will always be able to find the cracks in the system."

IE safety will only come as a result of TSA making up daily random changes of the rules without letting anyone know what today's rules at this checkpoint are. Neither Al Kider or Ma Sheeple or FFers will know how to obey the rules and we will all be safe. Now I understand.
