After traveling all over the world, I never take or hold anything from someone I don't know including the police or a government official. Easiest way to get scammed (example... policeman handing you contriband and then demanding a bribe to let you go so you don't get arrested because you have contriband on you).
This is true. There are plenty of rotten apples in the US Security and Law Enforcement industry. Why trust them any more than one would a uniformed person in another country?

Actually it's "Do as I say now" as opposed to what you were told in the 45 announcements we've run since you got to the airport telling you not to accept items from strangers. It is rather ironic isn't it?
Personally I would never accept an unknown item from anyone. If asked by a TSA agent I'd tell them exactly what I thought of the idea. Probably end up getting my dumb a$$ arrested or something.

What if it's a terrorist posing as a TSA manager giving you a real bomb?

Hell no way I'd accept any package from anyone, official looking or not.

Anybody from TSA asks me to carry a bomb through a checkpoint, I'll refuse. If they insist, I'll demand payment, $500. Plus, I will arrange legal counsel, as well get a signed, sworn affadavit from them that this is a TSA authorized test. (they lie in court about it, it's perjury) Any screener gives me a hard time, I'll throw the wrath of my lawyer on them, plus show them the affadavit.

Also, run TSA like they run things at Citibank (or name another private corporation), they fail, but not miserably. Run TSA like a government entity, they fail. Miserably.

lol thanks for the link. I'm guessing that "screener Cris Soulia, an official in a screeners union" had a pretty rotten day recently (assuming he even exists).

at least he (Bruce Schneier) updated the web page with the same link.

That the TSA has a so called (yet misleading) "myth buster" section is yet another indication that they are waging a propaganda war on America.

Gotta love an agency that does incredibly stupid things and then lies about it.

Anybody see Skeletor admitting over the weekend that the fake DHS "press conference" was the dumbest thing he had ever seen the government do?

Nothing but liars and charlatans.

Reading the text, I'd say the myth is confirmed. "Recruits" posing as passengers (they must have a BP, yes ?) is pretty much exactly the same thing as alleged.
