Observation while being screened in Las Vegas
I was leaving Las Vegas and got to the preferred line at about 06:00 the 4 people in front of me went through while keeping their shoes on. I commented to the screener that I was surprised that I did not need to take off my shoes. He informed me that I did need too take them off and that the people who went through before me worked at the airport and that was the reason why they could keep them on.
I then asked him if they ever considered the fact that a airport employee might be working together with another person ? And that they could then bring something through and then pass it off to the other person. He did not like the question. Once again a case of no security. BTW, this was the USAIR terminal in LAS for those who want to know. |
Airline crews and airport employees are exempt from the shoe removal.
Airline crews are exempt from the war on liquids as well. Of course the terrorists could infiltrate these groups, but the cowards at the TSA don't seem to listen to such logic. |
Not only have I seen this before, but I've seen both airport employees and TSA employees take water bottles, etc., through, obviously for lunch, and all of which I observed exceeded three ounces.
The practice isn't consistent, though. UA Dulles employees have told me they can't bring their lunches or water bottles through for work. Another double standard...us sheeple just need to follow the rules because it's for our good, and goodness knows the TSA knows what's best for us. |
[QUOTE=FWAAA;8602774]Airline crews and airport employees are exempt from the shoe removal.
Airline crews are exempt from the war on liquids as well.[QUOTE] If they are indeed exempt, the public should be outraged. Yawn, I know, they don't care. I find it outrageous. Ever hear of "clean skins" or the doctors UK doctors in London? Even if we believe there is minimal risk of airport employees or crews crossing to the "other side" this double standard is exactly what creates cynicism in the public's view of this security charade. Grrrr. |
The Communist Party is loaded with double standards. Now, speak no more about it Comrade.
