Global Incident Map

When you click on the website link below, a world map comes up showing
what strange & dangerous things are happening right now in every country
in the entire world & is updated every few minutes. You can move the map
around, zero in on any one area & actually up-load the story of what is
going on.

Global Incident Map:

There is a lot happening in our world every minute.

This "map" updates every 300 seconds...constantly 24/7.

Click on any icon on the map for text update information.

It's not just about Terrorism - it's about everything happening every
minute some place in the world of terrorism threats, explosions, airline
incidents, etc.

That's really interesting. Thanks for posting it.

That's pretty cool!

It certainly leaves out much (at least for some period of time and for some countries/regions), fails to note errors/corrections, and is built upon text searches primarily in English. It's also not wholly automated.

A right-wing production, confirmed. ;)

Talk about fear mongering.

Greenpeace blocking a port gets coverage but "security" shooting around a runway doesn't.

Whoa... that is cool.

More fuel for the nervous nellies

And according to that map, I should certainly put off plans to travel to the U.S., New Zealand, India, The Netherlands, and the U.K., but not worry at all about that dream vacation to Somalia, the Central African Republic, Congo, the Soloman Islands, and Haiti. Thanks! ^

I probably would have agreed with you a year ago, but looking at it just now I couldn't help but be underwhelmed when I zoomed in and moused over the icons. I saw hoaxes, non-events, and ample proof of the Chicken Little attitude all over the place without any actual issues.

So, if anything, it might as well have been a left-wing propaganda tool.

Doppy Oct 18, 2007 3:16 pm

Not updated particularly frequently. False alarms from days ago are still listed.

The site is a right-wing production. Your "if anything, it might as well have been a left-wing propaganda tool" is wrong in reference to this site.

I can't disagree that it's an interesting site with some relevance to issues in this forum. But I'm not sure the discussion about it as such is relevant, so I'll make a copy of the thread for OMNI and close this one in TS/S.
