will the CBP confiscate the Australian beef jerky that I broght back?
will the CBP confiscate the Australian beef jerky that I broght back?(in factory vacuum-sealed clear plastic bag)
Or will I be allowed to consume the jerky at the inspection counter?

We've brought jerky back from OZ without any problem. Not sure if I claimed it or not, but I'm usually pretty good about doing that, so I probably did. I believe it was bought at duty free so perhaps that helped????

If they find it or if you tell them about it you will be forced to either consume it or surrender it. Be careful -- If they find it and you have failed to tell them about it they can fine you for filing a false declaration of what you are bringing back to the US.
