Effectiveness of the "Terrorist" Database

"The government's terrorist screening database flagged Americans and foreigners as suspected terrorists almost 20,000 times last year. But only a small fraction of those questioned were arrested or denied entry into the United States, raising concerns among critics about privacy and the list's effectiveness."

We all know the only terrorists are 5 year olds in FLL and 8 year olds in the midwest. No one else in this country is capable of being a terrorist. Think of the children! Keep them out of the air!

I think it would be more effective if they had a blanket policy to arrest everyone on the list anytime they were stopped and continue to do so each time their name appeared on the list. Imagine what will happen when they arrest the wrong people, like the family member of a senator or perhaps a senator himself. That will finally garner the attention needed to make some changes.

We also know that the most dangerous real terrorists are deliberately not on the list:

What Kip Hawley wouldn’t tell 60 Minutes is that some of the some of most dangerous terrorists never even end up on the No Fly List, because the intelligence agencies that supply the names don’t want them circulated to airport employees in foreign countries for fear that they could end up in the hands of the terrorists.
