It seems to be what you are guilty of is reading and believing the information provided, and listening to the instructions of an agent of the airline that you have contracted to fly on.
This is not unlike adhering to all the rules published by the TSA and then being ordered to do otherwise or castigated for not adhering to a protocol which is contrary to the rules and regulations published by the TSA. It seems that being literate and following instructions of people with apparent authority which represent the contracted party is your crime. What we need in this country is more illiteracy and less responsibility on the part of the powers that be. We have, thanks to the administration, made a good start toward this goal with the implemenatation of the education policy of "No child's behind left". Stay the curse! |
I'm amazed at the number of posts suggesting that you are required to hang around the gate at your original boarding time if your flight is delayed... wow! I guess in the last 10 years or so of travelling I was doing it all wrong...
Let's see my last delay was DFW-MIA, flight was delayed somewhere around 4 hours - and here I was sitting in the Admirals Club calmly sipping my soda and getting some work done... Darn it, I supposed I should have waited the 4 1/2 hours by the gate huh? Okay, fine, I admit I'm also the type to have AA flight alerts on my phone and check the departure time regularly just in case the flight departure changed - but I would absolutely NOT expect them to suddenly move up the departure without any notice and expect passengers to be by the gate area... That would be an interesting conversation with Customer Relations!! |
