Auto license plates allowed in carry on?

I have to fly to Boston to pick up a car I bought and am driving it back to DC. Will I be allowed to carry on the license plates I'm bringing with me? Someone suggested to me TSA might consider the sharp edges weopon like.

Never mind, I was a bad FT'er and didn't search before I posted. Found the answer in a thread a few months old. Mods, feel free to close.

I don't see why not. If any TSA'er asks you about them, tell them that you made them yourself while serving time for the way you reacted the last time TSA tried to take something away from you. :)

I collect license plates and often pick one up (purchase, not steal!) on my trips. I have traveled many times with a license plate in my carry-on.

I've had mine in a carryon bag on several flights in the US, Canada, and the Caribbean. No problems, no questions.
