Homeland not secured?

How secure are the airports? Not very much apparently. :P

Of course that alert is nothing. These screens should not be connected to the internet or any general purpose network so there's no need for a firewall or anti-virus. However, the question has to be why do companies waste their money on Windows licences for things like this? It'd be very simple to write the front end as a Linux app and then there'd be no OS licensing fees. But then again the fact that the company providing the screens didn't think to switch off the Windows alerts shows that the people who set it up don't have a clue what they're doing.

There's so much incompetence in the IT industry. Then again, there is in any industry.
