Not trying to paint TSA as a whole, but there are some individuals who aren't worth $10 an hour in the private sector. Those are the ones who create thread fodder for a lot of people here.

According to an article in USA Today from several months ago, average salary for private screeners was $12,000 a year...I don't know what exactly translates to on an hourly basis...but I'm pretty sure its a lot less than $10!
