Sorry LG, I'm not a lawyer. I'm just a fedgoon type.

As for the charges it looks like he has federal charges pending and I wouldn't be surprised to see some state ones as well down the road with the child angle.

What's the over/under on how long it takes him to be stripped of his license by the bar? Anyone? Does he need a criminal conviction or is this sufficient?

I cannot speak to Florida but remember that you are hearing only one side of the story. He may well be found not guilty.

In New York, it takes the conviction of a felony to effect an automatic disbarment.

A separate complaint can be made to the Grievance Committee alleging violations of the Code of Professional Responsibility and that would require a separate hearing.

It is easy to take liquor past the TSA checkpoint... Just buy minis and put them in a quart-sized zip top bag.

Put a home of that value in my hometown and you'd be up around $35k for taxes.

The lawyer shouldn't fret...in another year or so his townhome will lose about 40%+ of its value in good 'ole overpriced-but-collapsing Broward and he can apply for a lower tax assessment
