Remember the 3𢴏 rule for carrying liquids, gels and aerosols through the checkpoint.
3 ounce bottles or less for all liquids, gels and aerosols placed in

Searched through the news releases and could not find any mention of the change in policy. I should have captured a screenshot of one of the pages when it said 3.4...they did a thorough cleansing job...

Guess it has been changed back - looking at the 3-1-1 page, and all other associated pages that I could find all mentioned 3 oz, not 3.4oz.

But, we still have TSA personnel that post here stating 3.4 as of 5/14.
Why would TSA personnel know TSA policies, especially something as obscure as the volume allowed in a "freedom baggie"? No, this is probably an intentional measure to keep the terrorists off balance - the famed "designed inconsistency".

Canada and the EU permit 100 ml, or 3.4 ounces. Many U.S. airline web sites say the U.S. limit is also 3.4 ounces. TSA wants the airlines to round down to 3 ounces, however they seem to be accepting unofficially 3.4 ounces. I found this from various news sources. TSA, of course, denies any of this.

The French, Spanish, etc. versions on the TSA website still say 100 ml is allowed.

Quick, google and print before they read this and edit all those too!

Part of the TSA's policy of unpredictability includes a pseudo-random number generator to determine the volume of liquid containers permitted each day.
