TSA Prepared for Summer Travelers!

Published today...too bad they still don't know their OWN policies. Remember the 3𢴏 rule for carrying liquids, gels and aerosols through the checkpoint. 3 ounce bottles or less for all liquids, gels and aerosols placed in |

Searched through the news releases and could not find any mention of the change in policy. I should have captured a screenshot of one of the pages when it said 3.4...they did a thorough cleansing job...

Guess it has been changed back - looking at the 3-1-1 page, and all other associated pages that I could find all mentioned 3 oz, not 3.4oz.
|
But, we still have TSA personnel that post here stating 3.4 as of 5/14.

Why would TSA personnel know TSA policies, especially something as obscure as the volume allowed in a "freedom baggie"? No, this is probably an intentional measure to keep the terrorists off balance - the famed "designed inconsistency". |
TSA isn't even prepared for travelers on any day, let alone summer travelers.

But think of the children.

Canada and the EU permit 100 ml, or 3.4 ounces. Many U.S. airline web sites say the U.S. limit is also 3.4 ounces. TSA wants the airlines to round down to 3 ounces, however they seem to be accepting unofficially 3.4 ounces. I found this from various news sources. TSA, of course, denies any of this.
|
The French, Spanish, etc. versions on the TSA website still say 100 ml is allowed.
http://www.tsa.gov/assets/pdf/311-spanish.pdf Quick, google and print before they read this and edit all those too! |
Part of the TSA's policy of unpredictability includes a pseudo-random number generator to determine the volume of liquid containers permitted each day.
"Today it is 3.14, Comrade!!! Do not question us or you will not fly!!!" |
It's 3.4 ounces. I guess after they made all those posters nobody wanted to go around with a magic marker to write in ".4" Besides, 3.4:1:1 doesn't "sing."

"Today it is 3.14, Comrade!!! Do not question us or you will not fly!!!" ... π oz to 9 decimal places... |
Posting different volumes on the same web site will keep the terrororists guessing. Thanks for keeping us safe, Kip!
