The official website says you have to proove you have left the country - the joke is they take our cc info as well so they should be able to see for themselves .... If you start spending money (Grocery, gas station etc) in Europe again on a regular basis there is hardly a chance you are still in the US
It does make you wonder exactly WHAT they do with all the manditory info they want before you even arrive. |

The Administration Will Establish A New Land-Border Exit System For Guest Workers, Starting On A Pilot Basis. This will help ensure that temporary workers in the country now follow the mandate to leave when their work authorization expires. If someone with an expired permit exits, intending to return, shouldn't that be picked up upon re-entry ? Like I said, maybe I'm slow... |

OK maybe I'm a bit slow, but can someone 'splain how checking on exit ensures that people are leaving when they are supposed to ? And what do you do with those found on exit to have overstayed - tell them they can't leave ?

I left SFO on Int'l concourse G for SQ1 flight from SFO to HKG on Jul 2. All of the kiosks were dismantled which I had done it regularly in the past years. When I spoke to the boarding gate agent, how come I'm not being verify for my departure & they said now they had suspend the exit departure verification process...
