Um, I thought titanium was non-ferrous, so if that is true, not sure why it'd trip a magnetometer....

No Problem

I have two titanium screws in my leg. (Very scary looking when you see them on the medical xray, but I don't feel them at all.) They have never been an issue at security. Never set off the metal detector. And on the few occaisions I have been 'wanded', not a beep.

IMO, titanium staples should be fine. they have a very low profile on the
metal detectors.

I have 7 1/2 screws and a 7 inch plate on my right tibia.

I only set off the WTMD at Federal Courts.

Titanium screw in my foot and never an issue.

I've had staples in each leg since I was 18. Flown plenty - they never went off. Only 3 per side, though.......

My husband has titaniun rings in his rib cage, and it's never been a problem. I
just hope they never notice the ticking sound his heart makes now. ;)

My son has titanium screws, plates and rods in his spine and he has never had a problem.
