Shmear and Bagels thru Security???
 

I love Einsteins Bagels and their Shmears....Problem is that where I live there are none...so my sis who lives in DFW brings them frsh for me everytime she visits...

New rules with TSA -- can I bring shmear thru security?

It's considered a 'gel' by some...and there are reports here of people having their 'dangerous and threatening' bagels confiscated because of the cream cheese combined with a likely hungry screener.

I would get the cheese in a plastic container, pop that in your pocket and let them x-ray the dry bagel - re-assemble once airside.

this is not one bagel...it is a bagel bog containing 13 bagels...and 3 tubs of shmear...

Unless those tubs are less than 3oz and can fit in your zippie they can't go. Bagels can go.

Wow, that's a lot of bagels....

Do you think TSA will ever letting go through the bagels at the checkpoint without proper permission from TSA. I think mostly does not allowed to bring the bagels due to new security measures. I hear something news for Einsteins Bros Bagels in between checkpoint A & D at terminal 4 here in PHX. You will see when opened up new Einsteins Bros. Bagels outside checkpoint A & D around 3 or 4 months.
