How to fly without ID
|
But, but, but, but.......you HAVE to show ID! IT'S IN THE REGS!!!!!!

So would a mileage runner not have to bring a passport on an int'l flight, knowing that they will be turned around at immigration and get right back on the return flight (If there are seats?)

I guess they would lose their freaking minds if you did that with no baggage to check and no carry-on.
|
I don't think anyone who declines to produce ID should be made a selectee.
|
At least they won't loose your luggage!

The article is plausible to a point but gets a bit absurd at the end:
According to him the reality is that the companies are simply tired of people selling their frequent-flyer tickets. The airlines wanted to stem this practice by checking everyone's ID I can secure a frequent flyer ticket in anyone's name, there would be no need to use false ID or no ID to use the ticket. |
The rebel in me wants to try this.... I'm flying tomorrow so i think i might just do that, i'll let you know how it goes.
Wait a second, what about at the security screening gate though? |
Getting a boarding pass without showing ID is done a million times a day - with online checkin. Using kiosks is easy enough, although you do need a valid credit card or something.
My question then is, getting through the morons doing the ID checks in front of the security screening. That is the only time you ever have to show a photo ID, and this article doesn't address that roadblock at all. |
Wow, some people got a lot of free time!
One can only hope that they'll get this loophole closed as soon as possible. |
This Nazi procedure of "your papers, please" ID checks in front of the security screening. That is the only time you ever have to show a photo ID, and this article doesn't address that roadblock at all. :td: |

The "loophole" you seem to want closed is called the constitution and you say as much in every one of your posts. |
