Just a follow-up...
They sent an email to TSA complaing about this, and they got this reply back: Thank you for your message expressing your concerns about airport security and travelers with special considerations. This message was misdirected to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). TSA encourages you to contact your airline for further assistance. We hope that this information is helpful and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. TSA Contact Center |

. Perhaps the message has gotten across: Try this again here in America and you'd better PRAY that the FAMs get to you before the pax do. --PP |

I just got a visual of a pilot with his legs crossed, eyeballs yellow, back teeth floating, just as the plane touches down thecockpit door opens up and Leslie Nielsen pokes his head in and says "Just wanted to tell you both good luck, we're all counting on you." --PP |

On the note of the pilots coming out of the cockpit, saw a first for me on a UX short-haul yesterday. It was UX 7929 (Trans States) IAD-MSY. Total flight time was less than 2h 20min, but those pilots must've really had to go. About an hour into flight, cockpit door opens, out comes the 1O, to the lav in the back of the E145. 1O returns to cockpit, FA comes out, and then two minutes later, the Captain comes out to head to the lav. He comes back, hangs out in the galley for a minute or so, then calls into the cockpit. Door opens and Capt, FO, and FA proceed to exchange a couple jokes before the flight deck door is closed again. As other posters have pointed out, I'm not too worried about a hijacking - especially on an RJ, but I found it amusing and figured I'd share.

More vigilantes, making the world a safer place.
Reminds me of the architect who had an iPod and went to the toilet, upon return was manhandled by a fellow passenger. I see more of that happening when folks pretend to become LEOs. |
