Roller Bag
 
For someone who has flown this past week:

Am I correct that if I do not have any fluids/toiletries then I am still allowed to bring my roller bag on the flight with me? I'm planning on mailing my toiletries ahead of time. If so, do they just search it again prior to boarding? Thanks for the help.

Yes, unless you're departing the UK. Rollers are still ok here in the USA. As long as they're empty of most useful carryon items. If you are departing the UK, then the roller bag gets checked.

Rollerbags ARE allowed departing the UK, as of today on some airlines and tommorrow on others. Catch is the size of the allowed carry-on - they've created their own size limit ( 6.5" or so thick ) . See the latest news.

I'm aware of the latest news, but let's be realistic; the permitted size is much smaller than most Americans' roller bags.
