Needlepoint?

I have read the TSA literature all about knitting needles. What about a 2 inch dull needlepoint needle? Can it come on the plane. Needlepoint keeps me sane during long boring meetings why not my 8hr flight this week. Anyone know if it will be taken from me at screening?

I think you're probably all right. At least I sat beside a lady doing crochet. Is that the same thing?

You'll be fine. Needles are okay, even the big needlepoint ones. Just make sure your thread cutting scissors are small enough to avoid a bag check - or even better yet, just bring a thread cutter instead.

(I don't do needle point, but I have done a bit of counted cross stitch from time to time.)

Lady FlysALot does all of those things and has needles that could go through a 747. She gets on a plane with them when we travel. However she is blond. YMMV

I crochet on the planes and have started carrying dental floss. the cutter that is part of the package works great on crochet thread and embroidery floss. Haven't tried it on yard though.
